Instead of simplifying, complexity is embraced through layered decoration. This process of addition brings forth intricate layers of colour, transforming the piece into something visually more complex. I often encounter overly complex and impractical designs, used once and discarded. This led me to question the necessity of such creations. Using glass and candle wax, I explore the relationship between perceived value and waste. Glass elevates the candle's worth, yet after burning, the wax-glass mixture becomes waste. This raises the question: what is the true value of labor-intensive glasswork when it ultimately becomes disposable?
