At the Royal College of Art, responding to the ceramics wastes encountered at the Victoria and Albert Museum, this work drew on a visit to the Ceramics Research Institute in Jingdezhen, China. It focused on making visible the extensive labour and skill embedded in the production of a single ceramic object. By foregrounding this unseen labour, the work emphasised the value of material and human effort, and advocated for a more conscious approach to reducing ceramic waste.
